Recently, I saw something very interesting at Maxiaids. It's called FingerTongs. Basically, these are silicone covers that you put on your fingers that allow you to actually stick your hand into a pot or pan and touch the food inside it without getting burned. Here's the link and the description.

Has anyone here ever used these? Some of the few things that annoy me about cooking are flipping food over, particularly flat things like pancakes or eggs, which could fold over onto themselves or even flop out of the pot, and working with hot oil, which could easily splatter and burn me. So could I stick my hands into a frying pan with oil and food with these tongs or would the temperature be too hot? If so, then what other kinds of cooking/food work well with these? Also, do they come ten to a pack or only five? I really would love to have them but want to be sure first that I'm making a wise investment.
Hmm, sorry never seen these, but thank you for informing me.
